Mini course: The polaron at strong coupling

Spectral Methods in Mathematical Physics

29 March 10:00 - 11:30

Robert Seiringer - Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria)

We review old and new results on the Frölich polaron model. The discussion includes the validity of the (classical) Pekar approximation in the strong coupling limit, quantum corrections to this limit, as well as the divergence of the effective polaron mass.
