Living
For participants there are several housing units on the Institute grounds.There are rows of terraced apartments, named the A, B and C-blocks. Kuskvillan (the coachman's villa) and Gula villan (the yellow villa, former home of Gösta's brother Fritz) are from the time of Gösta and Signe Mittag-Leffler. Gula villan has shared facilities (kitchen, living room and bathroom).

All apartments are furnished and equipped with:

• linen & towels
• internet (both Wi-Fi and wired)
There are no telephone extensions in the apartments.

Washing facilities
There is a laundry room in our Service building, which is adjacent to the rows of terraced houses. The room is equipped with washing machines and tumble dryers. You must purchase laundry detergent at your own cost.
You are expected to wash your own bed sheets and towels if you are here for a long stay. Upon departure, please leave the dirty, but folded sheets and towels in your bedroom.
Cleaning
The apartments are cleaned regularly by our cleaner. There are also cleaning utensils in each apartment, if needed. Cleaning schedule pdf.
Recycling Room
There is a recycling room in the Service building, which is adjacent to the rows of terraced houses. In the room you will find garbage containers for household waste. There are also containers for recycled paper, paper packaging, hard and soft (e.g. plastic bags) plastic packaging, clear glass packaging, coloured glass packaging and metal packaging. Kindly throw the waste in the correct container.
Please ask the administration well in advance if it is possible for your partner and/or family to accompany/visit you. Since there is limited availability in our apartments, participants have priority. Accompanying family members are welcome if space permits, although the capacity for receiving children is limited.
External housing possibilites
The Institute has an agreement with Hotel Danderyd, Best Western which permits guest researchers at the institute and their visiting families/friends to receive a 17 percent discount on the daily rate. To use this offer, contact the hotel directly by phone or e-mail.
Childcare
For assistance regarding babysitting, Nannyakuten offers Swedish and English speaking babysitters. For more information and reservation, please find contact details below. The institute is unfortunately not able to subsidize the use of nanny services.

Insurance
In case of emergency health care, participants of programs and conferences hosted by Institut Mittag-Leffler may be covered by the insurance of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Contact the below insurance company for more information regarding claims of your expenses.

If you are an EU citizen, please bring your European Health Insurance Card. Cards are issued by your national health insurance provider. Accompanying family members must be covered by a private insurance from their home country.

There is a local health care center near the Institute, Djursholms Husläkarmottagning, address Gudmundvägen 9. It’s located behind the SEB bank, across from the Coop store. You can go there Monday-Friday between 8 and 9 am, without making an appointment.
