Numerical Methods for PDEs and Their Applications

June 3 - June 7, 2024

This workshop encompasses numerical approximations to PDEs in the broadest sense. The range of topics includes computational fluid dynamics, adaptivity, finite element methods, direct solvers, time-stepping methods, spectral approximations and their applications, as well as emerging areas such as machine learning, mixed-precision simulations, plasma physics, and quantum computing.  Workshop participants are chosen to ensure that there is sufficient common ground for active scientific discussions. This workshop is designed to bring together highly-talented women and give opportunities to build networks and collaborations.  While a core purpose of this workshop is building a strong network of female scientists and providing opportunities to initiate collaborations, attending the workshop and participation in the poster session is open to local researchers of all genders.
