Abstract
Euclidean field theories play an important role in our understanding of critical behavior in statistical mechanics and in the mathematical construction of quantum field theories. In this talk, I will present some recent results and discuss possible future directions in the context of classical 2D field theories emerging from statistical mechanics, and for some novel field theories that were introduced recently in the literature. The common thread is the analysis of random geometric objects such as interfaces, clusters and loops.
