Alexandra Holzinger: Mean-field convergence in relative entropy and fluctuations for moderate regimes

Date: 2024-07-01

Time: 14:30 - 15:00

Speaker

Alexandra Holzinger, University of Oxford

Abstract

In this talk, I will give insights on how to prove a mean-field limit in relative entropy in case of moderately interacting particles for aggregating and repulsive regimes. The proof is based on new techniques which even allow us to extend Oelschläger’s well-known result of fluctuations around the mean-field limit to aggregating particles. This extension includes the case where the interacting potential converges to a singular kernel of sub-coulomb type. This talk is based on works with Li Chen, Ansgar Jüngel, and Xiaokai Huo.
