Abstract
The presymplectic BV-AKSZ formulation is a generalization of the AKSZ construction which allows to encode the whole BV formulation of a not necessarily topological local gauge theory into a finite-dimensional graded-geometric object.
In many applications, it is advantageous to consider field theories to be coupled to external non-dynamical, background fields. Such theories often possess symmetries which act non-trivially on those background fields.
We will show how the concept of background fields and background gauge transformations naturally fits into the geometrical picture of presymplectic BV-AKSZ and give a few toy examples of the construction.
