Abstract
The Ising lattice Higgs model is one of the simplest examples of a gauge theory coupled to an external field. This model serves as a toy model for more complicated gauge theories but is also sufficiently different from the Ising model to be of independent interest. In this talk, we mention recent and ongoing work to explain some features of its phase diagram and describe the different related models that appear in their derivations.
