Abstract
In this talk I will start with different microscopic approaches to model the behaviour of large crowds. Most of these models assume that individual have an overall goal but are also influenced by interactions with others as well as fluctuations. I will discuss the behaviour of different microscopic models in suitable scaling limits, and how we can use PDE techniques to analyse the respective PDEs.
