Abstract
Quintic surfaces with 16 nodes can be seen as natural generalizations of singular Kummer quartic surfaces. They also appear naturally in the context of Fano varieties of lines on cubic fourfolds and have been studied by many people (Beauville, Catanese, Fano, Izadi, Shen, Voisin,….). I will explain how some of the well-known results can be refined and discuss some open questions.
