Abstract
The thermodynamic formalism in ergodic theory aims to select invariant measures which attain maximal topological complexity of a dynamical system, described by a pressure function. This has been studied extensively since the seventies and is well understood in the context of hyperbolic dynamics. I will talk about a recent contribution to the thermodynamic formalism of non-uniformly expanding maps (joint with V. Pinheiro – UFBA).
