Abstract

More than a decade ago, there had been substantial progress in the BPS state counting problem on toric Calabi-Yau manifolds, in terms of statistical mechanical model of crystal melting. In this talk we revisit this problem and report on recent exciting developments in the past few years. We will highlight the role of the newly-introduced algebras, quiver Yangians, and their representations in terms of crystals.
