Shreyasi Datta: Inhomogeneous Diophantine approximation on manifolds

Abstract
We discuss a problem in Diophantine approximation which is related to counting rational points near a manifold. We mention an extension of the recent breakthrough by Beresnevich–Yang (2021) to an inhomogeneous set-up. The proof uses tools from homogeneous dynamics and geometry of numbers. This is a joint work with Victor Beresnevich.
