Abstract
We shall overview of the L_p-theory of Fourier multipliers on Lie group von Neumann algebras, putting special emphasys on stratified Lie groups and high rank simple Lie groups. This line has received much attention since the remarkable work of Lafforgue and de la Salle in 2011.
