Abstract
Let P be a lattice or a quasicrystal in d-dimensional Euclidean space. I will discuss results on the asymptotic density of the points in P which are visible from the origin, and on the fine-scale statistics of the directions (that is, the radial projection to the unit sphere) of the points in P.
