Workshop: Linear stability implies nonlinear stability for quantitative Faber-Krahn

Date: 2022-09-06

Time: 15:00 - 16:00

Dennis Krivenstov

Abstract

I will discuss part of the proof of a new quantitative stability result for the Faber-Krahn inequality, obtained with Mark Allen and Robin Neumayer. The argument translates questions about Faber-Krahn stability with respect to “nonlinear” perturbations into regularity questions about solutions to certain vector-valued Bernoulli problems with borderline free boundary conditions. I will explain this reduction and then describe our approach to the needed free boundary regularity.
