Abstract
We consider families of special values of L-functions involving the
characters of certain algebraic tori. In addition to defining these
families and discussing some general features of the problem, including
natural open problems, talk will describe the asymptotic formula that
can be obtained in the simplest “binary” case, as well as progress in
understanding the “ternary” case.
