Workshop, Denis Nesterov: Compactifications of configuration spaces of points

Abstract
The talk will be about two compactifications of complex configuration spaces of points – Hilbert schemes of points and (complex) Fulton-MacPherson spaces. I will introduce a class of hybrid compactifications that interpolates between them. Some applications towards the enumerative geometry of both will be discussed.
