Abstract
In this talk I will give a brief overview of the framework of perturbative algebraic quantum field theory and report on recent results obtained in collaboration with Eli Hawkins and Berend Visser. In our paper “A novel class of functionals for perturbative algebraic quantum field theory,” we proposal a class of functionals closed under the Peierls bracket and appropriate for proving that the space of functionals on the space of solutions to the equations of motion for the free scalar field is given as the zeroth cohomology of the Koszul complex (all within the same class of functionals). Generalisation to gauge theories is currently work in progress.
