Workshop: Log determinants, log correlated fields, and eigenvectors

Abstract
I will discuss recent results concerning the log determinant of matrices (either Wigner or from invariant ensembles), and its link with log-correlated fields. In the special case of the G$\beta$E ensemble, I will explain how these lead to the understanding of localization (in the right scale) for eigenvectors in the bulk. Based on joint works with Fanny Augeri and Raphael Butez, Paul Bourgade and Patrick Loppato, and Sasha Sodin.
